HAPPY JUNE LARCHIES !
I took a hiatus from the blogs for the month of may MY APOLOGIES. But I have returned for some updates.
WORK: the absence of summer within the adult world is a soul crushing reality. My heart craves the ocean, my skin misses the feeling of peak UVs, my eyes want to hurt from binge watching reality television, and to be honest my liver thirsts for a mid day beverage. Instead we are destined to crave the bathroom breaks, feel brisk winds of AC units, glue our pupils to AutoCad, and patiently sip on iced coffee. But that is more of a systematic complaint - not specific to CARBO, which does a great job of combatting the boredom of a 9 to 5 with sprinkles of shared fun and knowledge. We went on a great company bonding trip to Ardenville the other day to look at some native plant nurseries and breweries- two of my favorite things! They are right by the NuNu collective, I suggest we take a class trip it is a randomly beautiful nook of LA.
My goal for June is to stop spending literally every penny that I bring home, which will be more obtainable once Chick-Fil-A discontinues their BBQ Bacon Spicy Chicken Sandwich ( this has crippled my bank account and made me realize that my addictive personality does indeed translate to food ) IF YOU HAVENT TRIED IT YOU HAVE UNTIL THE SEVENTH PLEASE I BEG OF YOU IT WILL CHANGE YOUR TASTEBUDS. Other goals for June include getting up to 12 pullups and completing some work in my new backyard!
Been working on a plan (mostly to practice curvy line sh in CAD) and am really excited to get some native in the ground! If anyone has anything theyve wanted to try out or see for a project- I'm kind of using it as a test yard, send recommendations or come over anytime (Birthday Party in the NEAR FUTURE)
We've transitioned into personal which has stayed equally busy as it is uneventful. My roomates cat keeps peeing on my clothes to assert her dominance over my male cat. So I'm currently drowning in laundry, but there are worse things to drown in. Been going to Shreveport a lot to visit my sister, as well as celebrating my two roomates in their graduation endeavors, very happy for them (pushing down any tones of envy)
I have been trying to expand my creative mind, because I can feel the office sucking it out of me. And I need ways to translate my rage- Oil pastels have been the theme recently, highly suggest. My egg carton sculptures get pretty piled up (I convinced too many people to give me their trash regularly) and junk scrapbooking inside my planner has chemically altered my brain in the best way.
I'm also in the looking phase to replace my car (SOBBING NOISE) so if any one can picture me in a car that isnt Lilo, please leave a budget friendly comment below.
Food for thought: What is your favorite combination of herb and fruit?
