 Hello again everyone. Super exciting news as I was put onto a team for an ASLA awards submittal. What started as me updating a graphic evolved into me producing 4 separate renderings / diagrams on 3 pages of the submittal. Which means that if we win y’all will be looking at an ASLA award winner. Super exciting and thankful for this opportunity. But what else has been new? I had a meeting with my operations manager, and they have extended my internship through the summer as well as giving me a raise! Big moves in the work over here in Colorado, but enough with work.

 I’ve gone to Denver a few times now (if you’re ever in the area you gotta go to Meow Wolf) and I’ve learned that Denver literally has more thrift/vintage stores than you can ever imagine. I’ve also got a fly-fishing rod! Super excited to start getting into the river and (hopefully) catching some GOLD MEDAL TROUT. Speaking of trout, I had a Roaring Fork Valley version of surf n’ turf which was an elk steak with trout and DANG that was good (will be uploading pictures). These blogs are really turning more into a photo dump but oh well. I also got to celebrate my birthday in Colorado, a lot of my co workers took me out to some bars to celebrate but definitely wishing I could have had another birthday bash with the stu. Like I said these are short n’ sweet so till next time everyone :)

Blog #4 - Jalen Winburn Hello everyone, As of lately, the work has picked up a bit as a few of our projects are coming close to closing, which means getting final deliverables and documents finished before the upcoming deadlines. Last week I was working a bit more on the mixed-use development project, doing more SketchUp and Enscape work. The model is almost entirely finished, which has been really sweet to work on from start to finish and see come to life. I am currently working on another flythrough video of the model that will get sent out to the city later in the week. I also spent some time putting an entire neighborhood development into AutoCAD, which has been really interesting as I've been learning about plats, outlots, parcels, property easements, and development phases, which all come together to make a neighborhood. Sat in on a wayfinding greenway project meeting , discussing strategies for guiding movement through Harris County’s landscapes. Wrapped up the day with a one-on-one session with the studio lead , getting valuable insights into workflow and expectations. Tuesday: Attended the staff meeting to get updates on various projects.
