Starting to warm up in Colorado, work has been amazing, and I’ve been working on a plethora of projects (including the ones that I have mentioned in previous blog posts). Design Workshop as a whole is an amazing firm, and my favorite time of the day is beer:30, being able to go to the office kitchen and crack a cold one is an awesome tradition that I wish we could implement at LSU. It’s started to warm up in the valley, and a lot of the locals are worried about the snow melting too early, which will cause the river levels to drop and maybe have an impact on ranchers in the area. But taking advantage of the warmth, I took a weekend trip to Arches National Park (which is only a 2-hour drive from my apartment). A new tradition I am implementing is weekend trips, taking a day to go to a national park or Denver or anywhere really is fulfilling and gives me stuff to look forward to. There are not too many culinary options in my area, so I’ve really started to cook for myself almost every day. However, I have found an amazing Indian restaurant five minutes from me that I absolutely love. Hiking in the area has also been a blast as there are countless trails in my area to explore, as well as natural hot springs that I got to spend an evening soaking in (but gosh the sulfur smell is awful).

I’ve also gotten plugged into a new project, which involves me rendering an illustrative plan on photoshop. I’m super excited about this because I can learn professional photoshop skills that I can take with me moving forward (and I absolutely love photoshop). Being able to work on multiple projects at a time really works out my creative muscles and I really feel like I am learning so much. I also had to put together an “about me” introduction presentation that I had to present to the entire office during our weekly staffing meeting. Stay tuned for more updates.
