Hooowdy Good People!


I follow a hoop shoe page on IG and was sent back down memory lane with a post of these Lebron 10's. I really wanted a pair back then but just never came around to get some. They MIGHT be on the radar soon idk, but they are definitely a great silhouette. Also, lowkey needed a thumbnail for this blog post so yea haha :)


     Nevertheless, I hope all is well with you all...


  Assignment Updates:

WEEK ELEVEN

·         Weekly staff meeting on Monday morning

·         Wrapped up the first run of my synthetic putting green detail. Got brief feedback, adjusted, now awaiting more input.

·         Got tasked with another piece of JD Clifton to layout through a planting design for phase one. Phase one alone contains upwards on 215 trees ranging from a variety of citrus, oak, and pine trees.

·         Later in the week the objectives were:

·         Further assistance on the LC Rebound Streetscape (a group of Lake Charles projects to beautify existing streets and intersections) DD Sheet set-up

·         Working on a residential base map for the priest of St. Aloysius made initial basic line work of structures roads and sidewalks.         

WEEK TWELVE

·         Worked on producing Streetscape intersection plan line work for the LC Rebound Projects

·         Created Site Furniture pallet for the LSP Crime Lab (a series of various chairs, tables, and trash/recycling receptacles)

·         Updated on Roseate Beach open space ideas and was tasked with making redline corrections to hardscape sheets and details.

·         Made another rendition of the LSP Crime Lab Site Furniture Pallet with a different image configuration.

·         On Friday we had our CARBO spring crawfish boil, we wOrKeD maybe half of the day and for the rest we enjoyed some crawfish and the outdoors.



The MVP Haley Blakeman was in attendance, it was mandatory that we snapped a flic.

In celebration of the big day the good folks here at CARBO got me a bunt cake from Nothing Bunt Cakes as well as cupcakes for everyone and sang Happy Birthday to the kid.

Later this day, my family gifted me with tickets to the New Orleans Pelicans basketball game where they faced the Golden State Warriors.

In my first week at Confluence in Minneapolis, it was all about learning the systems and how things work here: file structure, licensing, AutoCAD standards, company structure, and how project timelines and budgets work. Life@CARBO Vol.2

GREETINGS ONCE AGAIN! I am attempting to get better at this blogging thing, I think my delivery of the last one was a bit bland and robotic. Fortunately, they say in life growth is inevitable and the same applies to my internship experience. I feel the level of trust is being raised with us interns. From the increased workload to the level of work being that is tasked to us. I don't know if it's just me but having my judgement and skill trusted to the level of having a deliverable that I had a large role in being presented to others is a slightly nervous but very rewarding feeling. It also acts as a motivator to keep learning and increase the quality of my efforts.  Assignment updates! Mikala and I did tree warranty work at Greenwood Park in Baker. Our task of was to walkthrough a portion of the park and tag the dead trees and ground shrubs so they could be replaced under their one-year warranty.                         ...
