I already miss the mountains.. Life @ SWA #6

Hey everyone! I hope everyone had a great spring break and are getting adjusted easily back into work - I for one am still mentally on break. Which may I say was absolutely amazing! Chattanooga was so beautiful and I think I fell in love with the mountains y'all. Fair warning, this blog is going to pretty much be a picture book but I thought everyone would think these were cool (I took way to many for the blog alone - so if you want to see any of the other ones let me know 😊)

The first day we went to Ruby Falls and toured the cave - we went on the 7:45a tour so we wouldn't be with any screaming kids... we were the only young people in a group of 8 older people lolll. The waterfall itself was probably my favorite

From there we went to another cave tour at Raccoon Mountain - this was probably the better cave to be honest. The entrance was relatively close to ground level so there was a bunch of water still flowing through all the formations. Fun fact - a cup of water from this cave is equal to 5 cups of milk of magnesia. According to our guide, "it'll have you leaving human stalagmites behind y'all."

The aquarium was also really cool, but informative as well. It went through the different Tennessee ecosystems and had tanks showing ecosystems from in the Tennessee mountains all the way to the mouth of the Mississippi. There were also these cool art pieces made of recycled beach trash. It's crazy because of how beautiful the works are, but to think that all of these pieces were once polluting our waters is even crazier.

After all of that we just ended up walking around the city for a bit. It's downtown is really well designed. The older and newer architecture meshed well, was walkable, and had a ton of engaging spaces. There were land bridges with educational signage, walkways under the roadway (try doing that somewhere flat like Louisiana 💀),  and multiple pieces of urban art.

The rest of the pictures are going to be from along the hikes we did. I hope everyone has a great week and I miss everyone!
