Blog 7 simply for fun - Sophie Webber

Wow what a busy girl Sophie Webber has been.

I had a fabulous last few weeks in Raleigh filled with visits from LSU Spring breakers, happy hours with co-workers that I miss already, and a week of fun with my roommate and neighbors as a final hoorah!

Paying for Baton Rouge and Raleigh rent was pulling all the strings and pushing all the buttons, so once I completed my 12 weeks in person, I am working remotely the rest of the summer traveling between Natchez and Baton Rouge. I was sad to leave, but now that I am home, I am super happy. I missed my friends and family so so much! I personally cannot wait to see Mikala.

I had my ball in Natchez where I was the Magnolia Queen. I was honored and had an absolute blast. Now that I am back in Baton Rouge, I am flooded with Kappa senior activities, from dinners to Chapter Night Out to senior crawfish boils. It all kind of feels like a lie since I have a 5th year, but I guess it is my last year in Kappa.

I am so happy that I can work remotely over the summer because I have grand plans that I will need money for, Europe in July being one. It will be a fabulous summer. For work, I have been continuing my search for the perfect spot for the big juicy secret (Ill give you a hint, it is a government building that provides the community with things to entertain themselves with). I will just leave that with you there. They have added a few sites for me to look at and I have it down to a science. I also am working on low maintenance planting plans for a emergency service training facility. I have really been loving work.

I am super excited to serve ASLA as the Vice President this coming school year. Congrats to my fellow chair holders!

The most beautiful specimen at the arboretum in Raleigh. I went on a walk there my last week in Raleigh. Mad at myself for not going sooner.

Chloe and I did our own version of a restaurant week the last week I was in Raleigh. We tried a bunch of different lunch and dinner spots. The knives at Poole's Diner matched my favorite ring.

My sweet roommate Anna, and my neighbors, Mary and Anabelle. They made my Raleigh experience loads of fun.

Reminding myself that I CAN drive 14 hours because I am a ROAD WARRIOR.

My little neighbor in Vidalia at my parents house had a garage sale (She just got put in a nursing home sad face) and all of her clothes were 50 cents. I got 40 items and a whole new vintage wardrobe. Yall watch out.

My sentiments exactly. This is in my favorite bar in Natchez and honestly the whole world.

My kitty kat in Vidalia. She is pregnant! My mom said the father is ugly. Poor girl must have low standards.

Ok so this is a doosy. My parents and I were out planting the summer garden and all of a sudden I hear this horrible noise. The limb on the Pecan Tree was breaking... right above where my mom and I were standing. I scream "RUN MAMA" she isnt moving very fast so I had to push her out of the way like a scene in a movie. It was absolutely insane. We just had to sit on the ground and hold each other to recuperate.

Once we were able to breathe again, we were able to laugh at the aftermath... Please look at all the seed packets I threw and peep my moms phone and hat. It truly was insane.

I have been absolutely shredding it lately. I am taking this summer to become a rockstar.

Bye
