Week 12 - Week 13
March 24 th - April 4 th

Good morning! This thing is cruising by! Doing some entrance sign design for Roseate Beach, sketching a few different options for them to layer different finishes and colors of concrete, trying to make it look at Galveston sandy and sedimentary-ey. Also gathering some project precedent information and images for Moncus Park, as well as attending some preliminary meetings with them. Also used the big scanner for the first time, which was a big step for me. Starting to assist Shannon on the base map for NELA children’s museum. And of course, a lunch and learn on porcelain pavers- very resilient from what it seems! Ended the week strong with an early workday Friday, followed by a crawfish boil/ Danny birthday extravaganza. (great team bonding, immaculate food)

Kitty at Garden Show at Destrehan Plantation (his names Leo if anyone wants to home him), also Louisiana has so many more garden shows than i realized – highly suggest outsourcing them!

I thought yall might like to see this tree growing out of another tree- HOW BEAUTIFUL!

SURPRISE GEUST! I AM NOW MOTHER OF 11 CATEPILLAARS!

The beginning of my week consisted of more RFP related things. Gathering resumes and project information and transferring them into the lead design firm’s template. This one is for a private school in Miami and it looks so fancy I hope we get it. Once that was sent off, I continued to work on Moncus Park research. I also made details for the metal lettering on the entrance sign for Roseate Beach. And I took Friday off because MY LOVE RETURNED TO THE SWAMP!

Rumor has it she still has her crown on to this day

grass is growing so green over here! (im gonna start burning everything)

(not pictured: my caterpillars all turned to butterflies and flew away, leaving my milkweed leafless and my heart broken.... proud, but broken)

  2. "proud, but broken" is the funniest way you could have ended this blog

  3. WAIT! Did you know there's a society that will send out free native milkweed seeds to help Monarchs as they migrate? I've been meaning to check it out
