Technical difficulties.. Ava Blog 4-

 Hello everyone! 

I hope you are all doing well and are having a great first half of the week! 

Work:

On my WFH Thursday and Friday I was working on the grading plan for the horse ranch I'm helping with. Along with some bubble map diagrams of programming on the site as well. Those days felt like they would never ever end. Lucky Friday is always a short day!

Monday rolled around and I didn't have too much on my plate. Really just a bunch of office work was done. Updating project sheets and reorganizing files. We are also getting a new WFH server, so the IT guy was here doing stuff all day bouncing from all our computers. We also have our office meetings on Mondays, so we did that and then ordered lunch. I went to go pick it up of course because what else are interns good for? After a yummy arepa (Venezuelan sandwich thing) and lunch yap, I was able to get started on a quick Ferriday Park project.. Super small greenspace in the middle of a neighborhood. All that is there is a nice Live Oak and an ugly fence, so I added some paths, up lighting, benches, nothing crazy for real. Then the computer guy jacked my computer so I edited a video for my Instagram and just waited for him to be done. Then emailed some people about materials/installation info you ensure nothing would be a bother to the Lovely Live Oak on Ferriday site. And that was my Monday!

Fun:

On Friday after work my brother, bestie, and I went decompress from work/school at Roux 61.. We all used to work there and the happy hour is fireee. Then we headed to the L'auberge to watch the ammeter and pro MMA fights that were taking place! My MMA coach came out of retirement and was the main event so we had to pack the house. Two other guys from the gym fought as well.. Luckily everyone won!! It was so freaking fun and made me so proud of my gym. Everyone there works so dang hard. Its amazing to see.  Other than that I just worked Saturday and then had to get my life together Sunday and prepare for the week.

Life@CARBO Vol.2

GREETINGS ONCE AGAIN! I am attempting to get better at this blogging thing, I think my delivery of the last one was a bit bland and robotic. Fortunately, they say in life growth is inevitable and the same applies to my internship experience. I feel the level of trust is being raised with us interns. From the increased workload to the level of work being that is tasked to us. I don't know if it's just me but having my judgement and skill trusted to the level of having a deliverable that I had a large role in being presented to others is a slightly nervous but very rewarding feeling. It also acts as a motivator to keep learning and increase the quality of my efforts.  Assignment updates! Mikala and I did tree warranty work at Greenwood Park in Baker. Our task of was to walkthrough a portion of the park and tag the dead trees and ground shrubs so they could be replaced under their one-year warranty.                         ...
