Life @ CLH with Chloe #4

 Work Life:

This past week has been pretty uneventful. I continue to work on renderings and sheet set ups. My most recent rendering was for an elementary school here in Raleigh. This one is one of my best renderings I have done. Unlike my first one, this one only took one work day which means my skills are not only improving but quickening. I have also been setting up sheets for a new project. These have also only taken me a few hours so I feel like I am getting better. I haven't sat in any meetings recently but I still am learning about working with other contractors because I get comments from contractors and clients and have to learn how to edit our design to fit their wants and needs.

The rest of this week will be a rush because I have a big project due on Friday so we have a lot to do to get that finished to at least a 90% submittal.

Last week we had our company annual meeting where we went over the 2024 year and how the projects and clients reflected CLH goals. We also went over the 2025 year and how we will continue to grow and expand our company over the next few years. I was cool to sit in because I was able to learn more about the company and the areas of the company that I do not normally get to work with. This week we have our personal annual reviews so we will see how that goes and see what they have to say about me and my work.

my most recent rendering; very proud of this one

OUTSIDE WORK:
This past weekend was so much fun. My parents were in town so I finally got to show them around my new home. This was the first time that they had come into town since I moved here so it was a joy to have them. We explored all over the Triangle (Raleigh, Cary, Durham and surrounding areas). We went to so many local shops and supported local artists and we visited this local market which was fabulous. There were rows of local vendors selling everything from jewelry to coffee to milk and meats. There was even this old guy dressed as a fox making poems on a typewriter. We ate so much food and tried some breweries and cideries. We wrapped up the weekend with having dinner with Sophie which was great cause they finally got to meet my intern buddy. Such a fun weekend.

This weekend I have absolutely zero plans so I am really really looking forward to relaxing and catching up on sleep and some house chores.
Ending this blog with the most beautiful sky over my apartment on Monday. It's going to be a great rest of the week!
