Arielle - i think i need to get new glasses

Not much of an update since the last blog. Construction has really started to pick up in the office, they’ve shut down like half the meeting rooms and now they’re building new desk areas by the entrance. It’s kind of funny having to peacefully work on a rendering while there’s a nail gun going off 10 feet away from me.

Lately they have me working on rendering a bunch of master plans for a giant project called Cool Schools, which is basically a green initiative project that redesigns various schools across Dallas and California to include public parks, which will allow residents to have access to green space. It’s also pretty cool to see how these designs create a more enriching educational experience for the students. I will say I’ve never had to go into so many civil and base CAD files and change the layers as much as I have in the last few days (they need to put me in charge of creating CAD bases cause jesus it was a MESS) Anyways the actual rendering process is pretty nice (idk why I never rendered like this its so quick); using various layers from CAD to use as a framework in Photoshop has actually changed my life #paintbuckettoolmybeloved

Hopefully they will take me to a site visit soon! There’s just been so much happening but also not at the same time. I will just have to be prepared and keep some boots in my car. Until then, I will be forever rendering.
