Addison's Blog 3: Pricing, Planting, and MARDI GRAS!!

Hey guys! 

So recently I’ve been learning a lot about pricing and the importance of designing within the clients budget. I’m figuring out how to price out everything from plants to materials to labor, and there’s A LOT that goes into it! It’s kind of like a puzzle, trying to balance the budget but still trying to make the design look the absolute best!

But… the really exciting part? I’m getting to collab with the landscape architect on this new project, and I’m actually able to contribute ideas on the plantings and overall design! It’s been such an amazing opportunity because I can see how the design comes to life and how my input is being considered in the process. I’m learning a lot about how different plants work together, what will thrive in certain environments, and how to create a space that’s both beautiful and sustainable. Honestly, it’s the best learning experience and I feel like I’m finally starting to put the pieces together!!

I’m also getting more confident in giving feedback and working with professionals in the field. It’s crazy to think about what I knew before and all that I know now. I can’t wait to keep learning new things!!!

Also, HAPPY MARDI GRAS!!!! Hopefully everyone enjoyed their Mardi Gras even if you weren’t in LA!!
