4/Addy takes over the world

Okay so last weekend was my first official weekend to freely do as I pleased and a girl went wild. I collected more FB marketplace pieces for my apartment and I now have a coffee table. Thank you, Thank you, we're all excited. I went thrifting, sight seeing, got a fancy as hell PB&J donut, tried different food spots, and my favoritest new thing; the farmers market. I LOVE THE FARMERS MARKET! They have like 4 main sections of it and they go as such; the shed, which is an open pavilion area where people do pop up tents, The market, which holds food spots and some produce in permanent market spots, the strip, which is more shopping down the street, and Ruibals, the plant nursery with landscape & house plants galore. 

I went on a windy, windy, cloudy day and I cannot wait to go with the sun shining and some money in my pocket. Which brings up my next point...

I GET PAID TOMORROW (for the first time)

My last job was so fun, making succulent and floral arrangements and just chatting with my girls all day. And even though it was a fair wage, my boss NEVER scheduled me to work so I would literally come out the week with like $150 and immediately spend that on gas and groceries. I am so beyond excited to get a litttttle more than $100 a week. I mean more than $100 a day? crazy. AND I worked  T W E L V E hours on Monday so try that on for size.

 That brings me back to work. My boss is (overly) ecstatic about this office update in preparation for the party. The murals are genuinely coming together really nicely but now we have framed pictures of random things littered around the office and a crap ton of dirt on our patio from our new plants. I spent Monday making the materials lab so we can look cool in front of clients. The rest of the week, I worked on planting plans for a proposed community and now, for a community currently in development. They asked me to do a planting narrative which I was so nonchalant about but hah. Thank you God. It's also for a project that I like and uses SO many plants, so it will probably be really good for my education on Texas ecology. But I am excited to show them what I can do. Especially after he start going over the principles of planting design and I was like huh, so you think I am idiot. I might be blonde but I will deliver color, form, scale, and texture to you on a shiny silver platter.

They don't actually think I am dumb though, they're actually really great people. It's a team of 4 girls (including me now) and Kenton, the principle, and basically we chat and chat and chat and he designs and will ask us on thoughts and so we lock down until Caroline comes up with something insane to say and we start chatting again. Our "meeting" yesterday was purposefully scheduled an hour longer to filter in for conversation. Last week we were actually locked in, designing away, and she stops Kenton like mid-sentence and says in full seriousness, "Peppa Pigs mom is pregnant." and carries on explaining why this would be good for the show. And, I want to be clear, Caroline sounds annoying but none of them are. They are so funny and good designers who clearly respect each other and I am so thankful to be a part of this team. I hope they let me stay on and go to the actual site one day!
