 BLOG #3 (Feburary 24th- March 7th)- Mikala Noonan


Back on Roseate Beach! Construction details lets go! Over the past two weeks I've learned so much about the amount of detail that goes into designing hardscape elements. I've worked on details for the entry sign, lighting, and the boardwalk. We had another lunch and learn, this time with pizza (yum) and trench drain knowledge (boom).  


(I forgot about Valentines Day in the last one: I made these yum yum cookies for the office and got some cute goodies from my sweet coworkers!)


A lot of people are out for Mardi Gras, and New Orleans is screaming my name. But I've become addicted to the bag, so I limited myself to a weekend go-er. I enjoy having NOLA as my neighbor, and have been exploring its plentiful greenspaces a lot lately, especially with spring weather hitting.

As everyone settles back into the office, I've been meeting with the Roseate Project Managers to better refine my details and the hardscape set, attempting to finish up DD phase soon. I've also been working with the Municipal team to make a catalog for an inclusive playground in Lake Charles, showing the community what developmental benefits each play structure has.

Life@Carbo Vol. 9 (Summer Sessions)

Hello Friends.... (Jim Nantz voice) Fun that we meet here once again... Assignment Updates: WEEK TWENTY ·          Shannon invited me to attend an LSP (Louisiana State Police) meeting in Lafayette, but I couldn't attend due to a JD Clifton zoom meeting where we discussed some more details for the 30% CD submittal on Thursday. ·          We moved from Land F/X to Vectorworks for this project, so Amy and I are receiving periodic crash courses on the program from Conner who primarily works in this software. ·          We divided up tasks, Amy handled grading, Conner focused on hardscape, while I focused on landscaping. I transferred our preliminary planting plan that I made from Land F/X.
