CONNOR Interning(1)-DDG

Dear fellow designers,
Since starting my internship at DDG here in Baton Rouge, I've attended several meetings, experienced the dirty work of being the new guy at the office, learned so much about Land F/X, and my CAD skills have gone THROUGH THE ROOF!!! So far, I've been on a couple different site visits. One in Nola, another in Covington where we had a Community Outreach Event, and others in Baton Rouge. The picture above is me smashing plants because the plants were NOT NATIVE! Just kidding, the pots were already like that and I was pointing them out to my boss. Just earlier this week I attended a meeting in Broussard about improving overall equity within the town. I was asked to complete a set of plans for said meeting and did not think they'd trust me to complete it on my own but I did. I made the plans, brought them to the meeting and no one asked questions, so that tells me they were legible. Right now they have me doing detail work in AutoCAD... WOOOO! It's been really cool here because I get to see projects not just from an LA standpoint, but Civil and Arch as well. Anyways, it's been good getting a feel for the office. More to come...
