8/04/2025 The final stretch of this whole intern deal. Have I grown closer to being the best landscape architect I can be? Yes. Have I increased my skillsets in all aspects of design? Not quite all of them but most. This is only the beginning. We, as infants to the LA world, have only just scratched the surface of our full potentials. There is still much to learn, there is still much to discover. Don't lose hope. No one knows where we'll be a year from now, but we'll be further along the path to GREATNESS ! Dk if yall still check the blog or not but this is going up anyways.                                                                                                     lol

Salutations Peeps! I hope all is peachy and all is right in your worlds, A month between blog posts, damn.......shoutout to the folks still posting. I truly enjoy reading about your adventures and perspectives. Assignment Updates: To be completely honest I've been slacking on my assignment logging in my internship journal. What you're looking at here is the energy dissipater located at the north weir. This feature is designed to slow the flow of collected water as it enters the site. The water travels through a series of large granite boulders, reducing its velocity before reaching several designated retention areas. This helps protect the site from erosion while enhancing overall stormwater management. These photos are from a recent site...

Not much excitement in the office the past few weeks. Everyone is pretty busy with their own projects and they don't really need me bothering them for busy work. I got back from a beach trip on Sunday but before I left I completed a permit set that had been in the database since like 2022. They started it way back when, and since I wasn't busy they told me to get on it. ...some yoga center in Harris County, TX. Thought it came out ok considering all the linework in this file hadn't been touched for years. Apparently codes in Texas are all kinds of out of wack. Every other block has a totally different standard for everything, it's redonculous. We just sent these drawings in last week so we'll see what they say. Before my beach trip I was in two summer school classes but now that those are over I can start putting in 40 hours a week again. I've been working from 8-12 every day since late May, so my pockets have been severely empty. It was honestly so ass having ...

Other than that its epic pool, gate, driveway, and garden revisions for construction documents on autocad and model updates on sketchup and Lumion. I havent been doing many site visits lately but I supplement it with lunch bike rides.    Our newest intern is actually working with TCLF doing research and papers. I think what she does is very cool because whats all the excitement about if it aint culturally influencing. This was the publish for NOLA. See any you recognize? GEORGE W. BUSH LIBRARY GARDENS cool plants from the George W. Bush library. I havent seen any passiflora blooms up here until I visited these library gardens. hotdog!
